Another wonderful card kit!  Cottage Greetings

I just made up one of the cards in the new card kit Cottage Greetings.  I decided to make them all up according to the instructions.   They really are easy and fun!

Images are pre-printed and you stamp the sentiment.  I love the wood sheets!  They add such an earthy yet elegant touch to this card.

You can find this kit on page 94 and 154 of the Annual Catalogue.  It is $19.75 for the kit!  That is a great price for 15 cards!

Watercolor Wishes Card Kit - Post 5 of 5 - Stampin' Up!

The last 4 of the wonderful Watercolor Wishes Card kit.

This is an alternate card that I created with elements from the kit.  It came about because I stamped lopsided so didn't get a good sentiment image, plus I had ink on the block that ended up on my card base.  There is a catalogue image photo at the bottom of the post...the centre card in the second last row is the original design of the card.  I'm always happy when I am able to rescue a mishap!

An already flagged sticker and die cut sentiment label are all that was used to make this card.  And stamping, of course!

The die cut word panel already had the fun red dots on it.  Dimensionals are added to the back of the panel to give it depth.

Card #20, finishes off this kit!  I love this sentiment stamp and hope to use it again in the future; maybe with a bird or music note paper.

The kit comes in this sweet box so it is ready to give as a gift.  You can give it before it's even opened so they can make their own or complete all the cards for them and you have a box ready to hold the cards.  I'm going to cover up the title on the belly band and add some left over flowers from the kit to dress it up.

If you'd like this kit for yourself or to give as a gift you can order on-line just by clicking the product image below (it takes you to my on-line store) or contact me.  I'd be happy to help!

Watercolor Wishes Card Kit - Part 4 of 5 - Stampin' Up!

Here are cards 13 - 16 of the wonderful Watercolor Wishes.

Can you see the sentiment stamped on a banner within the banner?  That's another fix because of a stamping error!

There are actually 3 sizes of cards with the kit.   This one is 3.5" X 5" and there are 6 this size in the kit.

5.5" X 4.25" is the standard full size card and there are 10 of this size in the kit.  The small square ones in the previous posts are 4" X 4" and there are four.

Watercolor Wishes Card Kit - Part 3 of 5 - Stampin' Up!

My continuation of Watercolor Wishes Card Kit

This was another one where I had to cover up some ink.  You can't tell in the picture very well, but I stamped and cut out a rectangle and inserted within the original label.

The yellow scalloped trim is a sticker.  Before adhering the panel, all I had to do was stamp, apply the sticker and glue on the butterfly.  The panel is adhered with dimensionals.

The flower and leaves came as die cuts.  Glued them together and added a dimensional.  Dimensionals were provided!

Tombow Multipurpose Glue was used to adhere the wooden elements.  It is the only thing that I used that was not in the kit.

One again, here is the lovely stamp set you get with the Watercolor Wishes Kit.

Here is all you need!

Watercolor Wishes Card Kit - Part 2 of 5 - Stampin' Up!

Love the wooden die cuts.  There are plenty left over to use on future creations.

Two Stampin' Ink Spots are included; one in Watermelon Wonder...

the other ink spot is Night of Navy

A bag of sequins also has tons left over to use on other projects.

This really is an awesome (exclusive) stamp set that comes with the kit.  It makes the kit a really great buy!

Watercolor Wishes Card Kit - First 4 cards - Stampin' Up!

I have ordered a few of the new kits in this year's catalogue.  The other two should arrive soon.  I loved this Watercolor Wishes kit.  These are the first four of twenty cards you can make in the kit.  They are cute, easy and quick!  I made them mostly according to the instructions.  Due to a few minor mess ups I had to make some changes.  I didn't want to have to scrap any of the cards because I was sloppy with my ink!

This is likely the easiest of the cards.  I turned my card from vertical to horizontal.  I think it looks nice as it, but I might add something to it!

Instructions indicated to stamp the hello in blue and the heart in red, but I didn't pay attention!  So we have a blue heart!

This was my first mess-up.  I smeared the ink on the original label so I had to make another to save the card.  I used a label from a retired set Layered Labels.

Two misses in a row!  But this was an easier fix!  I restamped just the "Here's To", and adhered with a little piece of dimensional.

So that is the first 4 cards of 20.  Below are the kit contents.  The only other product I used was Tombow  Multipurpose Glue.  I found it easiest to attach the sequins and wood elements with the liquid glue.

June 2015 Paper Pumpkin - Happy Thoughts - Stampin' Up!

Seems it is necessary to finish off this kit before I move on to something new!  Which is good, because the July kit will be here in a couple of days!  The July kit is called Love You A Latte!  Can't wait to see what's in it?

Here is another "alternate" card I made with June's Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I had used up all of the envelope liner paper so I dug out some retired Wild Wasabi Designer sheets and made a background piece and an envelope liner to match.  I also had to make my own pennant piece for the centre of the card.  I used up a bunch of the stickers from the kit to accent the pennant and added butterfly embellishment made with Stampin' Up!'s butterfly punches.  The sentiment is from Sheltering Tree.  The ribbon is from a retired Sale-a-bration spool from a couple of years ago.

Once again here are the two original kit cards.

June 2015 My Paper Pumpkin - Happy Thoughts - Stampin' Up!

For today's card featuring June's My Paper Pumpkin kit, I took one of the envelope liners and cut it down to use as a background paper for the card.  The picture below shows the paper used as its intended purpose - a lining for an envelope.  I think it adds such a finished touch to the card/envelope.

Here are the two original designs that came with the kit.  They are designed so that if you just want to "get 'r done" you can follow the instructions and be finished the eight cards quickly.  Or, you can play around and redesign using the kit and/or add some of our own supplies, making all kinds of new and fun cards.  The choice is yours...it's your escape!

June 2015 Paper Pumpkin - Happy Thoughts - Stampin' Up!

Here's another alternate card sample with June's Paper Pumpkin.  I used the envelope liner for a background piece by tracing the card and then trimming 1/4" off each edge.  I saw a sweet card by Debbie Henderson and used the triangle placement as a quick guide to make use of the kit triangle stickers.  The twine and bow were actually used to cover up some unsightly white space.  I thought it worked great!  For my sentiment I used Banner Banter and the petite banner punch.

Here are Stampin' Up!'s original designs for this kit.

Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper #6 - Stampin' Up!

And so here it is, the last of the series featuring Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper.  Today is the last day you can order this paper, but who knows....maybe it will show up on the Clearance Rack at some point.

I used a retired sentiment from Lacy & Lovely that I embossed in Rose Red.  I also used a retired large rhinestone to accent the butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.

Here's the full sheet that was cut up into six panels.  A special thanks once again to Patty Bennett for her inspiration.

Now it's time to get excited about the new Annual catalogue that also debuts TODAY!!!!  You can order from all three catalogues for just today!

June 2015 Paper Pumpkin - Happy Thoughts - Stampin' Up!

June's My Paper Pumpkin is a great little kit.  It's a surprise each month and they are so much fun!

The card below shows the original design of the card kit.  But this is an alternate example which came about because I stamped the sentiment poorly!  So I removed the banner piece and covered up my stamping error.  I incorporated the flower from the other kit card and used a sentiment from Petite Pairs to fit in the corner.  I was so happy that I salvaged my mess-up!  Phew!

I followed the instructions for both the cards in the kit.  The banner one I forgot to leave spaces between the triangles but the alternate card above does have the spaces.  However, the sample in the kit shows a space down the centre but for some reason that didn't work so they are butted up against each other in the centre.

This is the photopolymer stamp set that came in the kit.

You get tons of product in your My Paper Pumpkin Kits.  This one had....

Happy Thoughts Photopolymer Stamp Set
Tip Top Taupe Classic Stampin' Spot Ink
4 Kraft card bases
4 white banner card bases
8 white envelopes (4 standard, 4 long)
8 envelope liners (4 green, 4 coral)
8 white card stock pieces (4 banners, 4 rectangle)
2 sheets stickers
2 sheet die cut accents
2 sheets wood cutouts
4 clear buttons
twine 8 yards
25 dimensionals
100 adhesive dots

You would have a hard time trying to convince me it wasn't more than worth the price.
