Joy Fold Four Frames

This fun fold card was done at my last stamp class of the year along with the altered composition notebook.  Joy fold cards are easy to put together!  It helps when you have gorgeous paper like the Elegant Soiree DSP used here!
I found out after the class when I tried to order the vanilla rosettes, that they are no longer available.  I'd love for them to re-introduce something similar, especially the small ones that I used.
I should have taken a picture of the inside of this card to show how the Joy Fold looks when opened.  I'll try to come back and add that later.

Thanks for stopping by!

Beyond the Garden and Greenhouse Gala Composition Notebooks

This is an inexpensive (well...relatively anyhow!) composition notebook.  I paid $3.80 each for my notebooks and keep reading how people bought theirs for $1.00 each.  I sure hope to find them for $1.00 somewhere!
My final classes for the year included this project.  There is so much you could add to the cover of these notebooks, but the paper I chose didn't seem to call for anymore embellishments.  The paper design does all the work for you.  Dazzling Diamonds is added to the centre of the flowers in the photo above.

This second photo was made with Greenhouse Gala DSP.  The flower was embossed with Iridescent Ice.

Supplies:

Paper:  Beyond the Garden DSP, Pacific Point/Greenhouse Gala DSP, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzaz
Ink:  Pacific Point (for sponging edges)/Pear Pizzaz
Accessories:  Whisper White Satin Ribbon, Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Pear Pizzaz Poly Ribbon, glue stick, exacto knife, sticky strip, dazzling diamonds, iridescent ice.

Suit Card

Well, here is a fun little card for a gentleman!  I have been wanting to give this one a try for some time.  Instructions were from Jackie Toppa of Addicted to Stamping.  I used textured card stock to give it a fabric look.  I also saw this card made to fit the top of a box in which you could add a gift certificate.

I had cropped the bottom of it to make it fit a standard A2 envelope, but it still didn't fit and I didn't want to shorten him up too much!  I'd leave it the original size and make my own envelope if I were to make this card for someone.  For now it just a "for fun" card.  I stamped the inside with "Congratulations".

Karen's Quilted Birthday

A friend wanted a gift certificate and after printing up the certificate, I thought I'd make a card to give the recipient also.
I'm sure there is a name to this pattern, but I don't know what it is!!. I cut a sliver of ribbon to tie on the button.  I love that some of the papers have some "sparkle" on them.  You sure could make a lot of squares for cards with those skinny little strips.  Great use for scraps too.

Hope it was a great birthday Karen!!
