50th Wedding Anniversary

This is a 50th Wedding Anniversary card someone asked me to make.  When all was said and done, I brought it outside to take a picture of it and Liam asked me if it was a 50th birthday!  Oh well...guess it's back to the drawing board.  Not sure how I'll fix it, but tomorrow is another day.

And this is the inside of the card.  I suppose I could change it to Congratulations.

Stamp Sets:  I {heart} Hearts and French Script; Inside:  Heard From The Heart
Papers:  Brushed Gold, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Other Supplies:  Versamark, 3 heart punch, gold embossing powder, dimensionals
All supplies Stampn' Up!

Edited Post to show changes:

Changed the ribbon and added Mr. & Mrs.

Made a 2nd card with more gold showing on border and added  Mr. & Mrs. to the gold border.

Inside of 2nd card with just a simple "Congratulations"

Thanks for looking!

Forever Young

A CAS - Clean and Simple Sketch #99

The power was out all day today, so I made a couple of cards.  I cut out the images last night, so was all set to just play.  These are the first cards I have attempted with the Cricut machine.  The cartridge is called Forever Young.  Definitely a fun image to play with.  The tag that came with the cartridge didn't work out, so I printed the sentiment off the computer.

The paper is retired Island Oasis from Stampin' Up!  - the same paper I used in my June 12 post.  Another card to fit the open ended envelopes, also from Stampin' Up!

This second card is actually the first one I made.  Not quite sure why the photo fades towards the bottom.  I used the new lattice embossing folder.

Sweet Baby Quilt and Card

Photos by Stephanie Wright
I have wanted to make a card to go with a quilt for a long time.  It was a lot of fun and can't wait to try this again.

The quilt was made by Lori Szaflik (Red Lake's busiest and most generous quilter!).  Great job Lori!   I love the colors and little heart fabric.  I had volunteered to clip and wash the quilt, so while it was just sitting there I thought....I have cardstock in those colors!  So I made some of my own designer paper and "quilted" the pieced squares!  (click on image for a closer look!)

Stamp Sets:  I {heart} Hearts; Little Angel (retired)
Accessories:  Modern Label Extra Large punch; 1 1/4" Square punch

Showcase It! Come Join the Fun!

This is a sample of the card I will be giving a workshop for at the August Convention in Red Lake.  I hope it entices you to want to join in on the fun!   This class includes all the materials required.  You just need to bring your own adhesive and a Scor Pal (if you have one)  All products I used are Stampin' Up! but convention kits may vary a little from this sample.
It's a lot of fun to make, so if you haven't signed up yet, contact Catherine Mochrie at  (807) 662-1149 or e-mail her at imochrie@sympatico.ca .

Convention is August 19 - 20, 2010
Looking forward to seeing you there!!!
