So Many Stars - Stitched Stars Dies - Stampin' Up! 2019

A lovely card using the So Many Stars stamp set, but mostly made with the Stitched Stars Dies.  You could easily add stamping from sets you already have on hand; although it is always nice to have the co-ordinating set.

The Balmy Blue colour wash was made with an aqua painter on our  new Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.  The splatter with its cute little stars and the greeting are both from the So Many Stars stamp set.

There are 4 sheets - 2 @ of 2 designs in the pack of Mercury Glass Designer Acetate.  The dies cut the acetate perfectly and can be easily adhered with glue dots.    Colour your Rhinestones with the Night of Navy Blends marker.  Silver Foil Paper was used for the swirl and intricate star.    Quite an easy card.

Here's a peek at the inside of my card.  The swirls die also cuts out 5 little stars; one of which I used here.

I wanted to show this picture of the stamp set and dies just to highlight the MANY awesome images/dies you get in this bundle.   It's an amazing assortment!

My inspiration came from a card by Linda Dalke, a talented demo from Australia.  Her colours were copper and Petal Pink which went lovely together.

Merry Moose - Stampin' Up! 2019

Merry Christmoose!  Here's a cute, yet masculine card for any moose loving person in your life; or from a moose loving person!  It's perfect for our neck of the woods.
The images are from the Merry Moose photopolymer set.
The paper is Wrapped in Plaid 6 X 6 specialty paper.  Gold lines add elegance to this plaid paper.

A little Wink of Stella was painted onto the fussy cut scarf; Night of Navy ink stamped on Night of Navy card stock.
The inside is also stamped with the same trees as used on the front.

I used my Crumb Cake Blends marker to colour the Grey Granite Textured Weave Ribbon so it would co-ordinate better with my Crumb Cake moose; stamped in Memento Black and punched out with the co-ordinating moose punch.
This is the same card but with a Happy Birthday sentiment.   Perfect for anyone who has a birthday near Christmas.

Credits:  this card was cased from Amy Koenders, a talented US Stampin' Up! demo.  Loved her card!  I was doing this for a class so simplified the stamping.

Countdown to Christmas Project Kit - Stampin' Up! 2019

Here is the Countdown to Christmas Project Kit that a customer made without using the co-ordinating stamp set Christmas Countdown.  No stamping needed if you don't want to!  She used extra embellishments from her stash and did an awesome job with this kit.

Below is the kit I made with the co-ordinating stamp set and done as per the instructions (posted on Thurs. Oct. 17/19)

So, it's really up to you.  Do it as per the kit or have some more fun, dig into your stash and change it up your way!

The Gift of Fall - August 2019 Paper Pumpkin - Stampin' Up!

I am a little late for Canadian Thanksgiving, but it is never too late to be thankful!  August's Paper Pumpkin - The Gift of Fall made six awesome fall gift bags with two tag designs.

This kit included enough for the six bags with tags with tons of product to create more than just the bags.  There was an add-on you could purchase to make cards; I chose to just use card stock I had already.

Here's an example of a card I made with the kit contents and card stock.  I based my card on one by a talented demo, Julie Davison.  An older Paper Pumpkin stamp was used for the sentiment.  The kit provided crumb cake leaves that I turned over and sponged on the reverse white side with some Merry Merlot and a sponge dauber.

A gift bag and card, ready to go!

After making up the bags and card there is still plenty left over to make projects in the future.  There really was a lot of bang for your buck in this kit!

The Hallowe'en kit is next and then I'll move on to some current catalogue product.  So little time....

On My Mind - July 2019 Paper Pumpkin - Stampin' Up!

I have been on a bit of a kick the past week finishing up some Paper Pumpkin boxes.  I love doing them!  The July 2019 Paper Pumpkin was titled On My Mind and made 9 lovely regular sized A2 cards.

One of the features of this kit was that it co-ordinates with suites from the annual catalogue.  This sailboat card co-ordinates with the Come Sail Away Suite.  For those that like to change things up a bit, this pairing of annual catalogue products makes your possibilities endless.

The co-ordinating suite for this card was the Woven Thread Suite.  I love the colour combo on this card.
I stamped poorly on all three of the sentiment labels provided for this card!  So I used the Stitched Nested Dies to create new ones.  I was much more successful when I used the Stamparatus and sponged the ink onto the stamp with a sponge dauber.

The third and final design goes with the Garden Lane Suite.    I also appreciate the lovely lined envelopes that make your card that much more special!

Next mont's kit will be tags that co-ordinate with the Winter Woods kit from this month.

Hugs from Shelli - May 2019 Paper Pumpkin

I have many, many Paper Pumpkin kits to complete.  I love getting them each month and then I just don't make it a priority to get them finished.  So here I am, with May's kit called Hugs from Shelli.  It makes 12 beautiful note sized cards complete with co-ordinating envelopes (not shown).

However, it became known that the envelopes were a "titch" too small for the notecards and they would not easily go into the envelopes.  Knowing this, I trimmed slivers from each card so I would not have this problem.  As it happens, I missed a few, so ended up cutting them and mounting them to regular A2 card bases for a simple fix.  I call these "happy mistakes" because it usually makes for a nice alternative.

This notecard made it onto a Crumb Cake card base.

Here I layered it onto a Blushing Bride card base and added a strip of Mossy Meadow to the left side of the card.

'I choseVery Vanilla card stock and centred the card front onto a piece of Mossy Meadow.  I love the bird trinkets they provided for this card.

The notecards below are done as per kit instructions.

So, that's another kit completed!  If you'd like to learn more about Stampin' Up!'s card making and project subscription, please let me know!  I'd be happy to fill you in on the deets!

You can see past kits/videos at

Each month is a surprise but they do give little hints each month.  November's will be tags that will co-ordinate with October's kit.

Winter Woods - Oct. 2019 Paper Pumpkin - Stampin' Up!

This month's Paper Pumpkin' entitled Winter Woods arrived on Thursday and I had all 10 cards finished on Friday afternoon.  This rarely happens!  Such a pretty set of cards.
The card base is pre-printed.  You just stamp the snowflakes and greeting.  The die-cut birch trees have a lovely soft shimmery look.  A pop of colour is added with the die-cut cardinals and the snowflake sequins finish off this serene winter scene.

The inside greeting, cardinal and snowflake all came from the stamp set included with this kit.  I think it adds a nice festive touch to the inside of the card.

Here they are...all completed!

Very Versailles - Butterfly Gala - Stampin' Up! 2019

I saw a card on a Demonstrator Facebook page (Isabelle Amara, I believe) and decided I wanted the Very Versailles stamp set.  I then made her card (with a couple of changes).  Her card is lovely, sweet and simple; just what I was looking for.

I used the Butterfly Gala stamp set that co-ordinates with the Butterfly Duet punch.  All stamping was done with Blueberry Bushel ink.  I coloured one of the Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems with the Night of Navy Blends and added it to the abdomen of the butterfly.

After stamping the script background and leaf branch I used the Wink of Stella and coloured in all the leaves for a bit of shimmer.  Be careful using the Wink of Stella....it is water based just like the blue ink so the colour moves.  My pen slipped and I ended up with a streak off one of the leaves.  I used a Rhinestone (coloured with the Blends Night of Navy Marker) and covered the error.  I then added two more rhinestones.

Here I wanted to see what two small butterflies would look like.

I had another slip of the pen here at the top of my card.  That is how I ended up with a small butterfly at the top and the larger one at mid point.

Very Versailles, such a lovely stamp set.  I think the stamps would work so well on a scrapbook page too!

Countdown to Christmas Advent Calendar - Stampin' Up! 2019

Here is the awesome advent calendar featured on page 38 of the 2019 holiday catalogue.  This box is sturdy and will last for years to come;  Extra supplies needed are adhesives, ink and stamp set.  However, you do not need the stamp set (co-ordinating one called Christmas Countdown) to complete this kit.

Use just the contents of this kit or take a look in your stash for little bits you might like to add to make it your own.
Then fill it up and enjoy!

If you have any questions about this kit, please let me know!
