Simple Ribbon Flower cont'd....Scrapbook Layout and Samples

This layout shows a page using one of the flowers that appeared in my previous post.
Photo and page created by my daughter Stephanie; featuring two of my grandchildren, Andie and Sullivan.  It just awaits journalling!

She often gets her layouts from page maps (June 2009 shown here)

Designer Series Paper is retired Holiday Treasures
Her title is from the stamp set Welcome Christmas.  There is a little border of rub ons just below the photo.

In Andie's hair is a sweet flower I made from the 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon glued to a barrette with a real red corduroy brad for the centre.  I used 15" of ribbon for this flower; 7 1/2" for the 5/8" satin and grosgrain flowers.

A sampling of  1 1/4" striped grosgrain flowers.

This is the one used in Andie's hair!!  Just hot glue a barrette and you're done!

This brown one shows layering with another flower done in the crochet trim, embellished with a vintage brad.  I've also seen them embellished with the Designer Big Buttons - really cute.  I used corduroy buttons (some of which can still be found on the Clearance Rack) so that I could change them out once I decide what I would like to use them for.

Thanks and happy creating!!

Cindy
