Stamparatus - Stampin' Up!

I have many favourite Stampin' Up! tools; however, the Stamparatus is my new favourite!  It is a stamp positioning tool that helps you create beautifully stamped images.  Your frustration with uneven inking or crooked placement is no longer an issue.

The basic tool comes with the platform, two hinged plates, two magnets and a black foam mat.  Remove the black foam mat when using rubber/foam backed stamps.  Use the black foam mat for photopolymer stamps.

Here are a few tips for using your Stamparatus.

1.  Keep the magnets away from each other.  They store nicely on the bottom of the platform.  You really only need to use one at a time for the majority of your projects.  They are brittle by nature and break easily.  Replacement magnets are available to purchase.

2.  Add duct tape to each of the magnets as shown in the picture.  This makes them easy to pick up.  They are very strong.

3.  When positioning paper and stamps close to the edge it is beneficial to use our silicone craft mat (sold separately, it is shown in the above photo).  The hinges make it harder to get a good stamped image when placed close to the edge.  Using the silicone mat alleviates this problem nicely.

There are many reasons you would want this awesome tool...

1.  With the 2 plates that gives you 4 surfaces to place your stamps. This is great for 2, 3 or 4 step stamping.

2.  The ruler and grid lines make it easy to place your stamps right where you want them.

3.  If you need your image to appear darker (or if you didn't ink properly) just reapply ink and stamp again.

4.  Less paper waste!  (my favourite reason)

5.  There are multiple new stamping techniques you can try!  More to come on those as I try them myself.

Below is a video from the Stampin' Up! office reiterating some of the basics of this tool, along with a couple of techniques you can try with your creations.

I do hope you enjoy your new Stamparatus as much as I do.  If you have any questions, I am more than happy to help you get the best results when stamping.
