One Bright Punch Art Duck!!

This punch art duck is another card courtesy of Jessica, my friend's daughter-in-law.  Now, Jessica is back in BC, so I'll have to come up with my own new cards :P  She has made a punch art addict out of my friend Lori, so there is likely more to come!

I am almost finished getting my kits ready for Mining for Memories Convention here in Red Lake.  So if you live in the area and haven't registered, there is still time.

Give Catherine a call at 662-1149.

My Friend - July Customer Order Thank You

My Friend stamp set is new to the 2011/2012 Idea Book and Catalogue.  I chose it to do thank you cards for my recent workshop orders.  Seems I was having a little bit of "indecision" going on when making these.  I just could not make up my mind on ribbon color and matting sizes.  So I just kept changing them.  I did 9 cards in all and I think only two are the same.  A few of them have Rich Razzleberry card bases.
I love the pumpkin pie 3/8" taffeta ribbon.  I actually just realized when doing this post that both the pumpkin pie and old olive are not in the new catalogue...oops.

I used Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive markers and colored directly onto the stamp.  It was fun to do, but does take a little bit of time if you are doing multiple cards.

So, now I have to get busy getting ready for Red Lake's Mining for Memories Convention in August.  It's coming up quick!!

Dragon Punch Art

My friend Sheila invited me to make this card with her and another friend Lori.  Once again Jessica (Sheila's daughter-in-law) came up with this cute dragon for us to try.  Basically, it's made with the oval punches, circle punches and boho blossoms punch.  I had drawn on his eyes and when I uploaded it to this post, I realized what a horrid job I did on them.  So off came his snout and I used one of the hearts from the 3 heart punch; cut it in half and he got some new eyes!   I'd like to say this little guy was hassle free, but that would just not be the case!!  We did however have loads of fun and lots of laughs and I think he is adorable!

Brides and Grooms

These are really fun to make!!  Aren't they the cutest?!

My friend Sheila's daughter-in-law Jessica came to visit her with her two boys and just so happens she is a super talented stamper and card maker!  So while she was here, I got to make one of these cards.  I then went home and made four more.

Credit goes to Sabrina Satchwell (Jessica's friend) and her blog Little Miss Scrapalicious.  Sabrina had a link to the blog of Lynn Pratt of Stamp N Design for the original template.  Both very talented ladies.

The first dress uses the Elegant Lines embossing folder and the second one uses retired DSP.  I think it was called Specialty Paper Bride.  The 2nd has glitter all over it and look absolutely gorgeous IRL!!

All my brides with different waist bands.

All my grooms..some a little different.
My original card is a little shorter.  You had the option of shortening it up and then the bride and groom would stand taller than the card; however, the gown didn't print to size.

So, thanks Jessica and Sheila!!!  I really appreciate being allowed to join in on the fun!  Do come back soon!!

Baroque Motifs Wedding Workshop Card

This is the second card I did at my last workshop.   I had done this one with a different sentiment a few weeks ago (previous June post "More RMH cards Set 5") for a Ronald McDonald House donation and thought at the time that it would make a great workshop card.  So it's kind of a repeat!   I added five of the rhinestones from the strip that comes in the rhinestone package.  I used textured whisper white card stock for the card base and elegant eggplant for the mat.  Swirls are in old olive and the flowers are perfect plum.

I think it's a pretty elegant CAS card.  Quick and easy!

Bold Blossom/Three Layer Punch Workshop Card

A workshop card using the Bold Blossom stamp set and the triple layer punch.  I love these colors together.  I used the color coach to choose my colors.  I wanted to try one of the cards that has the top of the card shorter than the inside.  It doesn't stand up properly, so had to lie it flat to take this photo.

I chose Rich Razzleberry as a base color because purple happens to be my hostess' favourite color.

The inside of my card.

Thank you Lori and Jen; you were wonderful hosts.  Hope your guests enjoyed their cards!

My second workshop card uses Elegant Eggplant...another purple!!  I'll post that next time.

GET WELL SOON SULLY!!

Here's my grandson Sully as he mends from his surgery at the children's hospital in Montreal, Quebec.  They ended up having to replace the artery...now just praying the artery and lungs heal as hoped.

Sully well enough to take a walk to the hospital terrace.

Making a Cars puzzle as he recoups.
The photos were taken by his mom.

I have finally sent off my 50+ thank you cards to the Ronald McDonald House in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  They will put them in their common room for families to use.
