Hexagon Hive - Best of Butterflies

This card qualifies for clean and simple and is very soft and pretty IRL!!    I used the Hexagon Hive thinlits with the Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper.  I pulled out some retired Bashful blue card stock to use behind the DSP.

My butterfly is from Best of Butterflies and is embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder for sparkle and some and some  Basic Pearls for a bit of elegance.  I stamped off once before stamping my butterfly so that it would not be too dark.  

It's hard to capture the sparkle but it gives my little butterfly some pizzazz!  I used the co-ordinating butterfly punch to punch out my image.

Here it is in Crisp Cantalope.  I love them both!

Million & One - Petite Petals - Stampin' Up!

Simple and quick!  I used one of the papers from the 2014 Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper Sweet Sorbet with the stamp set Million & One.  Flowers are from Petite Petals from the spring mini which I stamped in Pool Party and adhered a neutrals Candy Dot for the centre.  Card base is Early Espresso.

Good As Gold - Sale-a-bration 2014 - Stampin' Up!

This FREE product choice is called GOOD AS GOLD and is a Simply Sent card kit.  All you need are your own adhesives.  The sample above is a card made with just the kit contents.  I used the stretchy gold twine and tied a bow as an embellishment.  The kit includes (8) 5" X 7" card bases pre-scored to make a 5" X 3.5" card front.  

This second card is one I made by using half of the original card base trimmed to 4.75" X 3.5" adhered to an A2 card base using Bermuda Bay card stock.  I used the Simply Stars stamp set and embellished with the kit contents (baker's twine, gold star and sentiment punch out).

Minion - Happy 7th Birthday Sully!

Hardwood - Walk in the Wild - Stampin' Up!

When the new Hardwood background stamp came out in the new Celebrate the everyday (available January 3 - June 1, 2014) catalogue I knew I would get it right away.  I think it pairs well with the Walk in the Wild stamp set.  We live in northwestern Ontario and moose are a common sight.  Any outdoorsy image would be perfect…such as the Horse Frontier horse image!  But I don't have that one, so a moose it is!

Credits:  This card is a CASE of one by Glenda Calkins.  She used the Lovely as a Tree stamp set on an A2 card.  So LOVELY!  

Masculine cards are not the easiest to design which is why I jumped on Glenda's idea for today's card.  Seems I can't resist the temptation to feminize it with the little bow I made with one of the strands of the burlap ribbon.

The moose was heat embossed with Early Espresso embossing powder.

Petite Petals - Monkey Punch Art - Stampin' Up!

Happy 5th Birthday Andie!

Punch art is just FUN and I think this little monkey is adorable!  Just like my sweet granddaughter who turned 5 today!

The cute colourful flowers were made with the new Petite Petals stamp set which also has a co-ordinating punch.    I took the colours from the paper pack Fresh Prints.  The colours are bright and cheery!

I also used the new Fringe Scissors to make my accent piece.  A few quick snips and it's done… all neat and evenly spaced.

My card was made using the www.mojomonday.blogspot.com sketch #324.  It came together quite quickly once I decided on the sketch.

Color Me Christmas - Stampin' Up!

Color Me Christmas was one of the stamp sets used in an on-line class that I participated in.  It was fun trying out some beginner watercoloring and then trying it out on my club members!  I changed out the image for the tree, also in the Color Me Christmas set.  Season of Style Designer Series Paper Stack allows you to make multiples using the same design of paper.  It's a great value for your dollar.
