Grinch Punch Art and 2014 On-Line Extravaganza

I followed a video tutorial by Elaine Jackson of the UK for this sweet punch art Grinch for today's card!   I used really old pattern paper for the background.  It came from one of those square pattern packs from way back.  The sentiment is from this month's My Paper Pumpkin kit.  I messed up the stamping so restamped on a scrap piece and punched out with the ticket duo punch and re-aligned it.  It was the second piece of paper I ruined so decided to work with it and get 'er done!

I used the awesome Ornamental Pine stamp set (Page 27) of 2014 Holiday Catalogue for my card and stamped in Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip.  My bow is made from the Real Red Woven Satin Ribbon (Page 15).  Add sparkle to your Christmas images with Versamark and Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  This is a simple card that delivers a "WOW" factor with the sparkle!

My Paper Pumpkin - June kit

Perfect Blend - Stampin' Up!

With so many coffee lovers out there, Perfect Blend really is the perfect set to make sweet cards for the coffee lovers in your life.  The paper used on the background of the first card is Lullaby from the new 2014/2015 catalogue.

Paper is from the now retired Fresh Prints.  I stamped the cup (or parts of the cup) image three times; cut out the relevant pieces and glued them together to make a fun image.

Sale-a-bration paper was used for the last two - Sweet Sorbet.  The so easy to use Candy Dots were used on the final card.  The cards were inspired by a sweet card by Rita Wright - a Stampin' Up! demo!

I ended making about 25 of these cards with the various papers.

The set comes with 3 stamps; the coffee cup and two sentiments.  I've included the price for clear mount.  It is also available in wood and in a brush image for digital scrapbooking, which can be used with My Digital Studio or other digital programs.

Honeycomb Embossing Folder - Stamping with Embossing Folders

A few weeks ago, Splitcoaststampers introduced a tutorial on how to stamp with embossing folders. They used this honeycomb folder and similar colours.  I didn't have water-colour paper so I used Shimmery White card stock instead and it worked just fine.  I love the subtle sparkle in that paper.  In this first card I used the Hello stamp from Lacy & Lovely (now retired).  I used some very old white with silver crochet cotton and coloured it with the new Blendabilities to co-ordinate with my card stock.

This was the first card I made and used Stampin' Up!'s white twine which I coloured.  The Rhinestones are also tinted with the new Blendabilities!  Sentiment is from Really Good Greetings.

Sentiment for this third card is from Walk in the Wild.
