Butterfly Gala - Stampin' Up! 2020

Today's card was received in the mail from my Secret Sister for my birthday.   It's a program from a buy 'n sell stamp related Facebook group.  The year is almost up!  I have loved each and every one of the cards I received, some of which I posted on this blog.

I love everything about this card.  The embossing folder technique; the way the rectangle die was used and of course the butterflies from the Butterfly Gala stamp set which can be punched out with the co-ordinating butterfly punch.

I really want to CASE this card;  I will post very soon.  It will  only be a similar card as I don't have that embossing folder.

So, thanks for stopping by and viewing this wonderful card!

Covid 19 Giving Back - Stampin' Up! 2020 - #sharesunshine

Here's a fun Covid 19 card...seeing as the actual Covid 19 is far from fun!  I sent off a few of these and realized I did not take a picture.  But I did have this before image (nothing is glued down yet) that I still had.
My original card was made with a card base from March's, No Matter the Weather Paper Pumpkin kit (no pic of that either).  I needed another so I made my own background with water-colour paper and ink refills.  Colours here are Smokey Slate and Balmy Blue.  I used a Blends marker to colour the hearts which were punched from a retired hearts punch.

Sentiments were from the PDF that you can purchase for $12 US (converted to CAN $) ; all proceeds to COVID 19 charities
Click on the link for more info.
There are limitations to this product, so if you are interested let me know and I'll fill you in on this fun PDF.

I hope you are managing well during the pandemic.  In Ontario we are easing in to things with caution.  Stay safe!

New catalogues are on the way and all goes live June 3, 2020!

Take care;

#sharesunshine - Just Kidding - Stampin' Up!

For today's card I dug out a retired stamp set called Just Kidding.  My original plans did not pan out and this is the card I ended up with.  The Confetti Celebration paper is also retired.  It was from back in 2016.  I used our alcohol based Blend markers to colour the image.  I love the image; looks like she has plenty to say!

Popped three of these in the mail today!

The sentiment on the front and back is from a PDF that Stampin' Up! put out to go along with the COVID pandemic we are currently facing.  All proceeds from the sale of this PDF are being donated to a choice of two foundations that are clearly indicated when ordering (see link below).

This PDF is $12 US so it will be converted to CAN dollars.  Here is the link to order; but please feel free to ask me any questions you may have as there are limitations regarding this PDF.  No limit to the fun of using it!
On sale until June 2, 2020

So, stay safe.  I'm here for you - from a distance. :)

May Good Things Grow - Paper Pumpkin - April 2018

As our community, along with the rest of the world self-isolates, those of us that enjoy any type of craft have a great way to relieve the stresses of all that is going; if only for a little while.

These cards are "alternatives" made from the May Good Things Grow Paper Pumpkin Kit from May, 2018.  Alternative just means I did my own thing and didn't follow the instructions provided.  I use contents from the kit and some of my own stash.  In the card above, I cut up one of the envelopes to use as a background panel.  The polka dot piece is a long ago retired paper.  The sentiment is from Label Me Bold a stamp set that is currently available.

Here I used the Detailed Bands die for the lovely sparkly piece, and once again, the Label Me Bold stamp set.

I cut up another of the envelopes and cropped parts of the flowers and popped up with dimensionals.
The sentiment is from Butterfly Gala.

This last one is actually my favourite.  I used two envelopes; cut the flowers out of the second and popped them up.
Everything except the card base is from the kit.

I did make a few others from this kit but decided to call this post completed.

Clubhouse - Stampin' Up!

Clubhouse is the perfect stamp set for all your golf loving peeps!  Masculine cards can be tough to make sometimes but this set makes it easy and fun!  Or for your golf loving girl friends :)

The Country Club Designer Series Paper was used for the background piece; the blue plaid strip is the reverse of the same sheet.  My sentiment banner piece was cut from a die in the Golf Club Dies.  From a strip of Poppy Parade card stock I used a border die from the Stitched Labels Framelits.   I used the Blends to add a bit of colour to the stamp golf ball/tee.

I needed multiples for a card exchange group I am a participate in.

I love this stamp set and had fun making these cards.  It's still a couple of months away from golfing season where we live, but never too early to get cards ready for the right occasion.

Sentimental Rose - Paper Pumpkin April, 2019 - Stampin' Up!

Paper Pumpkin is a monthly paper crafting subscription that I have been getting since it started.  I have many that have not been completed.  This one called Sentimental Rose is from April, 2019.  It is such a pretty kit that made 9 - 5" x 3.5" note cards with a cute card holder.  I made each note card up as instructed and then quickly turned the rest into full size 5.5" x 4.25" cards just by placing the completed front onto a regular size card stock of a co-ordinating colour from my own supply.

Dressed to Impress - Stampin' Up! 2020

Well, isn't this a fun card?!!  I did not make this card; it is one I received from a Secret Sister exchange.

Both the sentiment and the lipstick are from the Dressed to Impress stamp set available in this year's Handmade For You Mini Catalogue.    There are also dies available called All Dressed Up Dies.

I believe my Secret Sister used Shimmery White Card Stock for the focal piece and added Wink of Stella to the lipstick tube.  There is some lovely sparkle to this card which does not show up in the photo.

Thank you Secret Sister for making my day with this lovely card!

Peaceful Poppies - So Sentimental - Stitched So Sweetly - Stampin' Up! 2020

Today's card features three new products from the Occasions catalogue.

Peaceful Poppies DSP
Stitched So Sweetly Dies
So Sentimental Stamp Set.

The quickest cards to make seem to be those that use Designer Series Paper as the background.  Label type dies make the completion of the card even quicker; it makes the sentiment the focal point and always pairs so well with gorgeous paper.

I had some retired Poppy Parade Stitched Poly Ribbon and used it for the band across the DSP.  I then cut the edge off a strip of the ribbon and pulled a few threads to make a bow.  Two Rhinestones finish off my card.

The envelope is finished off in the same DSP.  I think it is a lovely touch!

Little Ladybug - Sale-a-bration 2020 - Stampin' Up!

I'm a little late to game as far as getting cards made with the Sale-a-bration sets for 2020 but here is a sweet card made from the Little Ladybug stamp set now available free with a $60 purchase.

My card base is Smokey Slate and I coloured the flower with So Saffron and Old Olive Blends.  There is a little Wink of Stella added to the flower centre.  The Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon is so pretty; the sunlight makes is glimmer!  Three gems from the From My Heart Faceted Gems adorn the bottom of the image panel which was cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

Design credit goes to:  Creative Corner

I'm looking forward to playing with other Sale-a-bration sets.
