Little Twinkle - Brusho in Pink - Stampin' Up!

Here is the second card using Little Twinkle and Brusho.  This time I used the Brilliant Red and Yellow.  I love it in pink!  The star and heart were stamped in the new Lovely Lipstick from the most recent In Colour Collection.  The Twinkle Builder Punch gave us the sweet moon and stars.  Once again, don't throw out those moon and star pieces...they will come in handy!

Credit:  Suze Bonnema.  I often get my inspiration from or CASE (Copy & Share Everything) from other demos and or stampers.

As I was playing with these backgrounds, I created a few other cards with similar backgrounds which I will post in the days to come.

Little Twinkle - Brusho - Stampin' Up!

I LOVE the Brusho Crystal Colour!  On this card I used the Prussian Blue and Yellow on Shimmery White card stock to create this great background.  The negative space made with the Twinkle Builder punch pops with the white background.  Make sure to save those pieces for a future project!! The blue star and heart were stamped with Night of Navy using the Little Twinkle stamp set.

My card design is actually a CASE (which can sometimes mean Copy And Selectively Edit) of a sweet card made by Suze  Bonnema.  Thanks Suze for a great card design and inspiration!

The Little Dipper and the sentiment finish off the inside of the card!

Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper - Stampin' Up!

Today's card is a note card featuring Nature's Poem Designer Series  Paper.  You can see a bit of the other designs in the Nature's Poem collection in this first picture.  The card base is the rich Tranquil Tide from the 2017 - 2019 In Color collection.  The retired background stamp called Sanded was used to add some texture to the card base.  You can see a little snipet of the new Pearlized Doilies at the bottom of the focal piece.    Lastly, my little trinket was made from the Silver Foil Sheets using the small leaf thinlit from Flourish Thinlits Dies.

The Sanded background shows up nicely in this photo as well as the doily and the silver leaf.

I made multiples for a card swap club I am a part of.

Inspiration comes from many avenues.  Today's card layout/colour was based on a card by a talented demo, Brian King.

Petal Palette, Stampin' Up! 2018

I love the Petal Palette stamp set and dies and am happy they are carrying over into the June 2018 annual catalogue.  The latticed background border piece is also from the framelits called Petals & More.

The panel piece is mounted to Blushing Bride card stock.  Basic Gray, Pear Pizzaz and Blushing Bride were used for the flowers.  Although this is likely to be a birthday or wedding card, I made one that said "With Love" on the front and used it as a Mother's Day card.

My card is based on one by Dawn Olchefske (Apr. 3/18) , a talented stamper I have followed for years!

This is a very versatile set that is well worth owning!  Only a couple of weeks before the new catalogue comes out, so stay tuned!

Christmas Cards - Repurposed

One gets sidetracked when it's time to put away everything Christmas.  So instead of packing away or throwing out, I sat down and make several cards and/or tags from cards I received at Christmas.  The sparkly ones were my favourite to play with (although the sparkles don't really show up in these pics).  Here are just a few of the ones I did in a short period of time.

These first two are very sparkly in real life.  It was easy to just crop the focal point, trim the sentiments from the bottom of the card and adhere with dimensionals to lower half.

This beautiful winter scene pops with a bit of red as the backing.  I think it could be used as a note card also.

A couple of tags all set for next year!

Now on to playing with some of the great stuff from this year's Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-bration freebies!!

Color Me Happy Project Kit - Stampin' Up!

Well, it's the new year and I thought this was a great card to start it off!

This is pretty much my first go at using the new Blends, Stampin' Up!'s new alcohol markers.  You can find them on page 31 of the new Occasions catalogue that goes live Jan. 3/18.  I am no artist and still have a lot to learn but it was fun!  This card is from the Color Me Happy Project Kit (available while quantities last).

My card used two of the colours, Pool Party and Pumpkin Pie.  There are 12 exclusive colours, each with a dark and light marker.  Buy them as single markers or as combo packs.

So, here's to a wonderfully creative new year!

Soft Sayings Card Kit - Design 5 - Stampin' Up!

#5 out of the 10 designs included in the Soft Sayings Card Kit.   Just stamp (in this case it was the sentiment and the grey leaves) and then adhere the rest of the elements.  It's that simple!

Each of the cards had a different sentiment on the front except one, which was used twice.  Here you can see all the sentiments at a glance.  You can however, change up the sentiments if you like; just pick one that fits on the sentiment piece.  This stamp set is included in the kit and is not available separately.

You will have fun creating all 20 cards.  Visit my on-line store...

Soft Sayings Card Kit - Design 4 - Stampin' Up!

The Soft Saying Card Kit (an all inclusive kit) has three sizes of cards in its designs.  This is the medium card and has a 5" X 3.5" card base.

If you don't have a lot of supplies or just want some quick and easy cards to make, then this is a great kit.  It is $46.00 and includes everything you need to make 20 cards!  It can be found on page 10 and 11 of the annual catalogue.

Another great addition to this kit is the Soft Sayings Card Kit Refill.
"Use the stamp set and ink from the Soft Sayings Card Kit with this refill kit to create even more cards!  Includes everything from the Soft Sayings Card Kit - minus the stamp set, ink, block and box - so you can create 20 cards."  $28.00

Or.....

Use the refill kit for your scrapbooking pages and incorporate all those wonderful elements to create awesome pages!  Alternately, you can make all the cards but just use your own ink and stamps.

Either way, it is an awesome kit!

Until next time...
