Sincerely Santa Project Kit - Stampin' Up!

This is the totally awesome Christmas tag kit called Sincerely Santa Project Kit.  $30 gets you 30 adorable tags along with a co-ordinating tin that houses all the tags.  Stamp set (Sincerely Santa) and ink sold separately.

Easy to put together!

I did all the stamping first only to realize that I had the pieces upside down.  I managed to get one right!  I just added a little punched hole to the top to rescue them.

On this one I used a sentiment from Farmhouse Christmas instead of the to/from stamp.  The light hit the trees to make them look gold.  They are actually all silver like the one on the left.

I love the touch of gold on these tags.  There is also suppose to be a silver strip but I forgot to put them on!

The green ribbon looks great.  My bows all turned out perfect...with the help of the fork bow technique.

See page 32 of the 2018 holiday catalogue for all the info you need to make this great tin of tags.  Sept 5. is the date the catalogue goes live.  Just two more sleeps!

Broadway Star - Paper Pumpkin - June, 2018 - Stampin' Up!

Broadway Star is the June 2018 kit of the monthly kit subscription Paper Pumpkin.  You get a new kit each month complete with ink spot and stamp set.  You can follow the instructions or create something "outside the box".

My first card is fairly close to the instructions given the card with the green background.

Once again, this is close to the original, but I messed up my white banner piece that was to stamped with the little stars like the first photo.  So I substituted a piece of patterned Designer Series Paper from the paper pack Broadway Bound which happens to co-ordinate with this month's kit!  Very clever Stampin' Up!

Simplified yet sweet.  I might still add the little "It's Your Day!" sentiment to the front of this card.

I added a little background piece with the Stitched Framelits to help         make the cake and balloons stand out a little more.

The kit had 8 card bases and all the elements required to make their  specific design, plus more!

Here I added a circle of vellum with the Stitched Framelits.

Definitely the least favourite of the cards.  I used a stamp from one older Paper Pumpkin kits for the pattern on the white pennant piece.  Decided not to fret it and just use it anyways.

I still have a bunch of pieces left over to add to the mix of other Paper Pumpkin kit remnants.

Another kit done!  Yay!

Timeless Tidings Project Kit - Stampin' Up!

Timeless Tidings Project Kit paired with the Timeless Tidings stamp set make a wonderfully beautiful but very easy set of 20 Christmas cards with beautiful gold foil rimmed envelopes (see page 33 of holiday catalogue).

Below are each of the 4 designs, shown in all their loveliness.

I used my Stamparatus (Stampin' Up!'s new stamp positioning tool) to ensure I got well placed, clean and crisp sentiment images.

You will need the Timeless Tidings stamp set, sold separately, which was designed to go with this card kit.  Other supplies needed are Jet Black StazOn Ink, Snail Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals.

The kit includes all the gold and/or green adhesive backed rhinestones required for each card.

I stamped all my sentiments for this card in he wrong direction.  Luckily it still worked out!

These kits are available to order Sept 5/18 when the holiday catalogue goes live.

Scrapbook Page Challenge - Stampin' Up!

I often hear customers and fellow paper crafters say they need to start using their stamps and dies more often in their scrapbooking!

So, I recently held a card class at our local scrapping event using the Best Birds and Petal Palette bundles.  As part of the class I issued a challenge (optional) for the attendees to create a scrapbook page using these sets.  I also offered a couple of others die sets to the mix.

Fellow card maker, scrapbooker, artist, friend, customer, Brenda.....took on this challenge and created all four of these amazing pages in no time at all.  I love how she turned the bird in the upper right corner into a chickadee!

My photographs do not do these pages justice.  These pages with the mainly white with a touch of black are very striking in real life. A black and white photograph will look awesome on these pages.

This all white page would also look gorgeous with a black and white photo.  But I think the perfect colour photo would really pop too!

So, Brenda; well done!  It is a good lesson in trying to remember to use your stamps and dies regularly when you scrap.

Most of Brenda's products were Stampin' Up!
Here are a few of the products she used..

Best Birds stamp set and Birds & Blooms Thinlit Dies
Petal Palette stamp set and Petals & More Dies
Flourish Thinlits
Daisy Punch
Pearlized Doilies
Blossom Punch - retired
Pansy Punch - retired

Share What You Love - Take Your Pick Tool - Stampin' Up!

I made a pretty little box to house my Take Your Pick tool!

The Take Your Pick tool is a great addition to your crafting supplies and is available to order Sept. 5 when the new holiday catalogue goes live.  See page 30 of the holiday catalogue.

Take Your Pick is a multipurpose tool that also has a piercing tool, two stylus tips, small spatula and a replacement tip for the putty.  Individual putty replacements are also available.

The main use for this tool is as a "pick up" tool.  Use it to pick up small embellishments to position on to your art/card.  Easy to use!

I know that I would lose or at least misplace the parts once the original packaging got damaged.  Now it can sit on my craft table looking all pretty and easy to find when I need it.

Do keep the housing that the tool sits in!  It fits perfectly into this custom box.

This is the packaging that the Take Your Pick tool comes in.  I am sure you will agree that making a box with your favourite colours is a much better option.

The dimensions for the box were not created by me.  All the credit goes to a lovely Demo by the name of Liz Youille of Old Stables Crafts.  She created a great little, easy to follow video.

It will not be long before we can all enjoy the amazing new products in this year's holiday selection of products.  Contact me or order on line (Sept. 5 for new holiday items) at

Best Birds - Stampin' Up!

This past weekend I attended a local scrapping weekend.  I did cards.  This lovely bird and the sentiment are from Best Birds.  The die cuts from the background and the branches are from the Petal Palette bundle.  The branches were stamped in Granny Apple Green and fussy cut.  I think that is my new favourite colour!

My card was CASED (with gratitude) from the talented Lauren Alarid, a member of the Artisan, Stampin' Up! Design Team.  I only changed a few things.

It was fun taking this little bird out for a little play time!  I now have a few more cards for my stash.  Three were finished off as sympathy cards and the other three I left blank inside for the time being.

Love What You Do - Stampin' Up!

Love What You Do stamp set paired with the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper makes for a quick but lovely card.  I added the darling Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins; they really have great sparkle to them.

I made multiples to give to customers.  Using the new Stamparatus stamp positioning tool made this a quick process.  You will love using it!

I CASEd a great card by Courtenay Heusten.  I changed a few elements just to make the card a little quicker to make but loved her design.

Little Twinkle - Brusho in Pink - Stampin' Up!

Here is the second card using Little Twinkle and Brusho.  This time I used the Brilliant Red and Yellow.  I love it in pink!  The star and heart were stamped in the new Lovely Lipstick from the most recent In Colour Collection.  The Twinkle Builder Punch gave us the sweet moon and stars.  Once again, don't throw out those moon and star pieces...they will come in handy!

Credit:  Suze Bonnema.  I often get my inspiration from or CASE (Copy & Share Everything) from other demos and or stampers.

As I was playing with these backgrounds, I created a few other cards with similar backgrounds which I will post in the days to come.

All these yummy goodies can be found at

Little Twinkle - Brusho - Stampin' Up!

I LOVE the Brusho Crystal Colour!  On this card I used the Prussian Blue and Yellow on Shimmery White card stock to create this great background.  The negative space made with the Twinkle Builder punch pops with the white background.  Make sure to save those pieces for a future project!! The blue star and heart were stamped with Night of Navy using the Little Twinkle stamp set.

My card design is actually a CASE (which can sometimes mean Copy And Selectively Edit) of a sweet card made by Suze  Bonnema.  Thanks Suze for a great card design and inspiration!

The Little Dipper and the sentiment finish off the inside of the card!

Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper - Stampin' Up!

Today's card is a note card featuring Nature's Poem Designer Series  Paper.  You can see a bit of the other designs in the Nature's Poem collection in this first picture.  The card base is the rich Tranquil Tide from the 2017 - 2019 In Color collection.  The retired background stamp called Sanded was used to add some texture to the card base.  You can see a little snipet of the new Pearlized Doilies at the bottom of the focal piece.    Lastly, my little trinket was made from the Silver Foil Sheets using the small leaf thinlit from Flourish Thinlits Dies.

The Sanded background shows up nicely in this photo as well as the doily and the silver leaf.

I made multiples for a card swap club I am a part of.

Inspiration comes from many avenues.  Today's card layout/colour was based on a card by a talented demo, Brian King.
