Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper #6 - Stampin' Up!

And so here it is, the last of the series featuring Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper.  Today is the last day you can order this paper, but who knows....maybe it will show up on the Clearance Rack at some point.  

I used a retired sentiment from Lacy & Lovely that I embossed in Rose Red.  I also used a retired large rhinestone to accent the butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits Dies.

Here's the full sheet that was cut up into six panels.  A special thanks once again to Patty Bennett for her inspiration.

June 2015 Paper Pumpkin - Happy Thoughts - Stampin' Up!

June's My Paper Pumpkin is a great little kit.  It's a surprise each month and they are so much fun!

The card below shows the original design of the card kit.  But this is an alternate example which came about because I stamped the sentiment poorly!  So I removed the banner piece and covered up my stamping error.  I incorporated the flower from the other kit card and used a sentiment from Petite Pairs to fit in the corner.  I was so happy that I salvaged my mess-up!  Phew!  

I followed the instructions for both the cards in the kit.  The banner one I forgot to leave spaces between the triangles but the alternate card above does have the spaces.  However, the sample in the kit shows a space down the centre but for some reason that didn't work so they are butted up against each other in the centre.

New 2015 In Colors - Tree Builder Punch - Stampin' Up!

Last card for a few weeks; but am looking forward to getting some new product to play with when I get back near the end of June.

My card today doesn't have one focal stamp set or accessory.  I started with the new In Color Tip Top Taupe for the front layer and used Mint Macaron with the cloud which was punched with the Tree Builder Punch.  The little strip of yellow is the new Cherry On Top paper stack.

Everything else is lovely product that is returning from the old catalogue.  Hello Sweet Friend sentiment is from Six-Sided Sampler and the stars are from Something To Say.  The little bit of whimsy behind the cloud is our white Baker's Twine and of course the every popular rhinestones are the centre of the stars!

I belong to a card making on-line group and this card was a CASE of a card made by Jenny Peterson.

Painted Blooms DSP #5 - Stampin' Up!

My sweet little two tone butterfly was made with the Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches with three of the smallest pearls from the pearls embellishments.  My sentiment from Truly Grateful (retiring June 2) is stamped with Blackberry Bliss onto a piece made from a Chalk Talk Framelit.    

This piece of paper was taken from the bottom right hand side of the 12 X 12 piece.

Only one more card to come from this paper; all inspired by Patty Bennet's 6 card assortment.

Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper #4 - Stampin' Up!

Simple touches like die cuts mounted with dimensionals make elements stand out on a card.  Here I used a framelit from  the Apothecary set (retiring on June 2) with the sentiment from Kinda Eclectic which is being carried over into the new catalogue on June 2.  A white Baker's Twine bow and a couple of rhinestones finish of the card.  I really like the Blackberry Bliss card stock and ink with this Painted Blooms paper.

Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper #3 - Stampin' Up!

For today's card I heat embossed the sentiment from Million & One (retires as of June 2) using Versamark and Rose Red Ink; made a bow from a strand of the Jute Ribbon and added a few rhinestones, which I coloured with Blendabilities.  Seeing as the Blendabilities are no longer available you can use a coloured Sharpie or any alcohol based markers.

Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper #2 - Stampin' Up!

I know, not much done here!  But you don't have to complicate things.  I think it is pretty with just a sentiment (now retired Lotus Blossom) and a Baker's Twine bow.  Paper was mounted on a piece of Blackberry Bliss and stamped in the same colour.  Can you find this section in the piece below?  :)

Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper - Stampin' Up!

I've made a set of six cards from this one sheet of Designer Series Paper called Painted Blooms.  They are based on a set made by Patty Bennett, a talented US Demo.  This paper is on page19 of the Occasions catalogue which expires on June 2, 2105.

Here is what the sheet looks like before I cut it up!

Besides the retired ribbon (Old Olive Striped Organdy) and the paper, everything else will be available when the new catalogue goes live on June 2.  I embossed the sentiment but it does not show in the photo.
