Adventure Bound.....by Stampin' Up!

The fun continues!  This was the easiest of Adventure Bound paper stack cards so far!  I just cut the paper to size and embossed the sentiment (retired)!  All done!

Now to tuck this card away for several months and enjoy the warm sunshine!

The Occasions Catalogue ends on June 2 and the new Annual Catalogue begins!  So this Adventure Bound paper is available until June 2.

Adventure Bound Bravo and Adventure Bound By the Tide - Stampin' Up!

Two more Adventure Bound cards for you today!

Another card CASED from Brian King.  This time I changed out the sentiment (from the stamp set Bravo) and embossed with white embossing powder.  Reminds me of graffiti on a school brick wall; so I thought it would be a good card for a high school graduation.  I had messed up on the embossing on my first attempt so cut out the star and adhered with a tiny piece of dimensional to make the star pop on the word you.

This card was also quick and easy; using By the Tide and the reverse of the paper as an accent. Happy  Birthday sentiment is from Crazy About You.  The Burlap Ribbon was cut down to size.  Love that the gold buttons are coming back in the new catalogue in June!

Adventure Bound - Stampin' Up!

This sweet paper comes to an end on June 2 or while quantities last.  This image piece comes in a paper stack of 48 of 4.5" X 6.5" double side pages.  There are 12 designs in all of which only a couple are sampled in today's post.  Get these packs for $8.50.

My scenery piece was cut down to 4" X 5.25" and is mounted on Mossy Meadow card stock.  The sentiment and accent was stamped on a piece of card stock vellum with Stazon On black ink.  There was a thin strip of extra paper left over that I used as a border on the inside of the card.

It really doesn't get much easier than that....a few minutes and you have a lovely card!

I think this card ROCKS!  I CASED it from Brian King, a talented US demo.  Everything used in this card will retire at the beginning of June except the card stock and the sentiment.  Sentiment is from the very versatile set called Crazy About You, currently on page 31 of the 2015 Occasions Catalogue.  There are 33 stamps and comes in wood mount ($63.95), clear mount ($47.95) and Photopolymer ($30.95).

The grid look on the left hand side is the Birthday Bash Designer Washi Sheets. 8 sheets; 2 ea. of 4 designs; 6" X 12".  $11.95

The word bubble was adapted from one of the framelits in the Word Bubbles set on page 230 of the Annual Catalogue.  They are $36.95 for 8 dies and also have a co-ordinating stamp set Just Sayin'.  I will miss these framelits and am hoping they will eventually have something similar we can use.

There is more to come with this fun paper!  Until then...

Happy Stamping!

Butterfly Thinlits - Crinkled Chalk with Color Box Chalk Inks - FREE SHIPPING

Isn't this a perfect spring/Easter/summer card?  The very popular Butterfly Thinlits have been on backorder but should be available again on the 13th - not too much longer!  Yay!

The Color Box Chalk Inks that Stampin' Up! carries in the current Occasions Catalouge give such a lovely soft, powdery look and work well with this technique.  Just use balled up pieces of plastic cling wrap; dab in your ink and the dab on your paper!  Make sure to use separate pieces for each colour so you don't mess up your stamp pad.

The stamp set I used was Crazy About You; 33 stamps with thirty (30) words and three image stamps.

FREE SHIPPING for five (5) days!!!  Make sure to take advantage of this limited time promo.   We all love it when we can get FREE SHIPPING!  No minimum purchase required!  Order on line at my Stampin' Up! store and it will be shipped right to your door!

Welcome to spring!

My Paper Pumpkin - Layers of Gratitude - Feb. 2015

Here is February 2015's My Paper Pumpkin called Layers of Gratitude.    I deciced to do up the sample copy quickly to illustrate its contents.  The folded card fits nicely into the cute little boxes.

This month's is no longer available as a new one will be shipped in March.  So it is a surprise each month to see what you will receive!!  That makes it so much fun!  Sometimes there are extras available that Stampin' Up! will post the on-line store when they make them available.   Usually you can get refill kits and sometimes you can get the whole kit.

I will mull over ideas and view other demo's ideas to see what other alternate samples can be made.    I have already seen the the accordion fold card cut to separate into little note cards.  They then made individual envelopes with the envelope punch board.   I am sure the ideas are endless!

During Sale-a-bration you can get the three (3) month subscription on sale for $68.85.  That is a savings of $6!

Why not give it a try with a three month subscription.  Contact me for more info!

Want to see more amazing ideas using this and previous months' kits.

Visit the Paper Pumpkin website

make sure to switch from US to CANADA!!

Until next time, Happy Stamping!!

Sheltering Tree - Sale-a-bration 2015 - Stampin' Up!

Inking up my new stamp set the Sheltering Tree.  This is a sweet, loving card using Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush Class Inks.  Ink up your stamp with Pink Pirouette and then use a sponge dauber to add the Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush.

I love the new Jute Ribbon which I used as an accent behind the stamped image piece.  To make the bow I snipped off the edge of a length of Jute Ribbon and pulled a couple of strands of the fibre and tied a double bow.  My background is the ever useful Woodgrain (which I didn't remember was retired until I made this post!)  and the hearts are made with two different punches.  The small heart from the trio pack Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack and couple of the tiny hearts from the Confetti Heart Border Punch.  Colour up a Rhinestone with the Melon Mambo Blendabilities and you are all set!

Here is a little peek at the inside of the card...

I made this card for a local swap and then made a few more to have on hand...so I made a total of 16.

Watercolor Wonder Notecards - Clearance Rack - Sale-a-bration 2015

As of today these notecards were still on the Clearance Rack.  It's a bargain for sure!  Get 20 assorted notecards; 4 each of 5 designs including 20 envelopes.  That is $.032 a piece.  These are only while supplies last.  Add them to your order when trying to reach the $60 mark for a FREE Sale-a-bration product.  More on Sale-a-braton 2015 in the weeks to come; it is going on until the end of March.

These lovely tulips were from the stamp set Blessed Easter (now retired)   The water-colour paper takes the water beautifully.  I used Stampin' Up!'s Classic Ink and the Aquapainter to colour the images.

Here I cut down the notecard and adhered to a Basic Gray card base.  The flowers were part of the notecard; I just added the sentiment and silver twine.  The second one I messed up the stamping so I corrected it by stamping on some Basic Grey, flagging one end and adding a co-ordinating Candy Dot.

Doesn't get much simpler than this.  I used a large sentiment called Million & One and added a three stars from the In Color Sequin Assortment.  This card base was also cut down and adhered to a retired piece of Gumball Green card stock.  I can get eight cards from these four green water-colour card bases.

I got to use up some old retired silver and gold twine on these cards from years ago.  The silver is all used up now!!  This card uses the gold.

The tiny rhinestones were coloured with Blendabilities.  The rhinestones themselves were from my stash and are non Stampin' Up!  The other flower images are from Simply Sketched (now retired)

Go on over to the Clearance Rack at www.cindymcgurk.stampinup.net
and see what other great bargains you can find.

CREDITS:  some cards are cased an/or inspired by Melanie Baker and Patsy Waggoner.   Thank you for your inspiration and ideas!

Seriously Amazaing - My Paper Pumpkin - August 2014 Kit - Stempin' Up!

Happy New Year!  This new year brings a continued effort to finish up kits....and I have many of them; ranging from My Paper Pumpkin and left over card class kits.  I've only done a handful of the My Paper Pumpkin kits and chose the August 2014 kit called Seriously Amazing to complete at the moment.  The kit includes everything you need!  It made four standard cards/envelopes and four note/gift cards/envelopes with a ample of left over supplies to use in future creations.

Then I boxed them in an empty Lindor Truffle box; so they are all set should I decide to give them as a gift!  These cards were fun and easy to make; emptying the truffle box was no chore either!

Wishing you a year filled with creativity!
