HAPPY BIRTHDAY REUBEN!!! Under The Stars!!

Happy 5th Birthday Reuben!!

I just had to have this set when it first came out!!  I think this might be the third catalogue it has been in and this is the first time I have used it!  I'm so glad it (and the wood background stamp) made it to the new catalogue.  Maybe now I'll make the things I've been putting off for so long.  There are a couple of retired products on this card, but nothing that couldn't be substituted easily.  I painted the marshallow with white craft ink and sprayed it with a thin layer of acrylic sealer just to be safe.

And here's the birthday boy!  I cropped him out of a group photo so I could have a recent one of just him!  Resolution isn't great because I lifted it off of Facebook!!

Have fun making S'mores Reuben!!
LOVE YOU!!!!!!

SULLY

My grandson Sully in now in Montreal for his surgery.  He was born with Tetralogy of Fallot.  Four years later, they have discovered that his right pulmonary artery is completed blocked.  They are doing a roll technique to untwist the artery and put a stint behind it (I think I have it right?!)

Sully in Montreal back in Jan for his MRI

Sully getting ready for his MRI.

His surgery takes place tomorrow.  We are praying for you Sully!  LOVE YOU!!

More Ronald McDonald House Cards (Set 5)

Some of these were UFO's.  I decided to pull them out and finish them up to add to the collection.  I think the cards are now going to the Ronald McDonald House in Winnipeg.

Sully is now in Montreal for his surgery, but they are not staying in a RMH as the hospital they are going to is too far away.

The stamped piece was made years ago....I ended up removing it from the card stock it was on and putting it on white textured card stock; added rhinestones and called it done!

I attended a charity stamp event hosted by Liz Wight, another local demonstrator.  She donated the $ to buy new toys for the church nursery.  I just thought it fitting to pay it forward and donate the cards I made.

Another of the cards made at Liz's stamp event.

One of my favourite stamp sets "Terrific Tulips".   Another card I made years ago.  This was CASEd (Copy and Share Everything).  ie: not my original design.

Another card made at a Stampin' Up! workshop hosted by demonstrator Helen Piaskowski; if I recall correctly, this is also a CASE.

One from years ago that I freshened up with new card base and paper.

Another Terrific Tulips; this one done on watercolor paper.  The pink flower has some Iridescent Ice on it.

Roses In Winter; an old workshop card.

Also from Liz's workshop; I added some retired eyelets.

A card made several years ago.

That's it for RMH cards.  I now have a total of 50!    Thanks for stopping by!

Mega Swap 2004 Goes to Ronald McDonald House (Set 2)

2nd set of Mega Swap 2004 Cards.  I didn't do much to each card.  Maybe added ribbon, or brads; cropped off faded card stock or replaced mats.

I don't think any of the stamp sets are still current, but some of the techniques have not lost their popularity.

That's it for today....

Mega Swap 2004 Goes to Ronald McDonald House (Set 3)

More 2004 swaps made into cards.  Anyone know how to change the dates on a post?  I have posts that are ready to go and I thought they would post on the date posted, not the date created?!!

Next set will be the final of the Mega Swap 2004 card fronts.

Mega Swap 2004 Goes to Ronald McDonald House!!

In 2007 when my daughter Stephanie became a demonstrator, her upline Betsy Kingma generously gave her a whole slew of swaps as inspiration.  Fast forward to 2011...Stephanie is no longer a demonstrator and I am!!  I have therefore inherited the swaps!!  When cleaning my stamp space, I decided I needed to do something with these swaps.  Stephanie's son's (my gandson) need for the use of a Ronald McDonald House first happened 4 years ago.  This in itself is a separate post, and I will indeed post her story in the near future.

They will be going once again to a Ronald McDonald House likely within the next month.  I decided I would turn any of the swaps that could be remotely considered a thank you into Thank You cards to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in Montreal, Quebec where they will be staying.  Guests of RMH could use them as they see fit.

So....this is the first set of 10 cards.  I'll post them 10 at a time until all 40 cards from this swap have been posted.

If you were involved in the 2004 Mega Swap, maybe your card front is here or one of the next few posts!!!

.

Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed a little glimpse into the stamping styles of 2004!!!

Your swaps are very much appreciated!!
