Two CASEs

Sometimes you just have to CASE someone else's lovely work!  I got both these ideas from a Stampin' Up! demonstrator website.   I usually don't post things that aren't at least partly my own, but I thought...why not?  It's okay to let people know you appreciate their talents!

The box idea was from Linda Gutierrez.  She used Stampin' Up! #2 box die.  I didn't have that die, so I made the boxes myself.   I thought her box was adorable!

The card was by Wendy Janson.  Her blog is called It's All About Stamping!  Her coloring of the flowers was amazing and so vibrant looking.  I could not duplicate her work, but loved the colors and layout.

I'm sure I will CASE (Copy And Share Everything) or (Copy And Selectively Edit) from time to time!  Thanks Linda and Wendy for sharing your beautiful work on Stampin' Connection!

Perk Up!!

March's stamp class card.

I really like how this card turned out.  The paper and ribbon are so pretty; the stamp set is so FUN!  I got to use a ton of stuff on this card.  Seam binding ribbon; antique brads, watercolor paper, aqua pens, Versamarker, clear embossing powder, jewelry tag punch, 1/16 inch hole punch, stazon ink, Springtime Vintage DSP!!!
The coffee pot and mug have been shined up with some clear embossing powder.

I cased the layout of a card by TrishG of Encourage Joy  (Jan 17 post)  She used a coffee cup, which is what drew my attention to it.  The layout is so versatile...you can put anything on that little square.

Other supplies:
Stamp Set:  Morning Cup
Paper:  Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla
Accessories:  embroidery thread

Build a Blossom Inlaid/Embedded Technique

A small, but very fun workshop, where we made this card with the Build a Blossom stamp set.

A workshop card to demo inlaid technique and the Build a Blossom Punch and Blossoms Petals Punch.  The background paper was made using the small flower from Vintage Vogue.
Thanks ladies for a fun morning!!

This second card is also Melon Mambo, but colors are off.  A sentiment still needs to be added, once one "speaks" to me!  These two cards were my "rejects"!

This was actually the first card I made.  It is a 5 1/4" square card.

Stamp Sets:  Build a Blossom, Vintage Vogue
Ink:  Pretty In Pink, Melon Mambo, Old Olive
Paper:  Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Regals Collections DSP
Accessories:  Square Lattice Embossing folder, Swirly die, Blossom Petals Punch, Ribbon, 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Brights Designer Buttons

Happy Stamping!!

Happy Birthday Sheila!!

This is a fun glittery card I made for a friend's birthday.  I really like this technique.

Another go at burnished velvet (aka glitter puzzle)  This is so sparkly.   I just got my order of Stampin' Up! super fine glitter.  I should have made a swatch of each color before I started, because it's very hard to decide what colors to put together.  They are not exact matches to Stampin' Up's colors, so I found it challenging.  When I first put the colors together, I was a little unsure.  But once I introduced the card stock, it came together quite nicely.

I used the Fine Cosmos glitter set; Rose Pink, Celery and Turquoise.
Card stock is Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White.
Quilt pattern was taken off the Internet from a free pattern site and is called Pieced Star.

They are a lot of fun to make; takes a little prep time and clean up after each color so you don't contaminate your glitter pots!
